I will kick things off! When I’m building a contact list, I sort the results by email availability. It helps me prioritize the contacts with emails first so I can start outreach right away.

Love seeing Hoovers tips—this is exactly the kind of conversation that helps all of us prospect smarter.

One quick tip from me: I always start with tight company filters + broader contact filters. It keeps the company list focused but still surfaces influence‑adjacent roles I might’ve missed.

I also rely heavily on Saved Searches with alerts —it helps point me toward the warmest opportunities faster than anything else.

Curious to see the Hoovers feature or tricks others use :)

I recommend using the Corporate Family Members filter under the Company Size section.  It is a great way to triangulate across different company groupings.  Once you find an interesting company, click on Corporate Family in the left panel to see their locations and overall structure.  There are almost always unknown locations and new entities that create opportunities for upsell and cross‑sell.
