when we upload a list of companies in hoovers to get more data, is there a way to track that for which exact row in our file hoovers give which data. The issue is when we import the file and if the names are different it is very hard to track back that what we imported and what hoovers provided

    There is not a standard field in the regular Hoovers upload and export workflow that explicitly returns “this Hoovers company came from row 47 of your original file.” The safest solution is to maintain your own unique row ID and reconcile primarily through the D-U-N-S Number. If D-U-N-S is unavailable, use name plus location, address, and website rather than company name alone.
